NOKC
FC ACADEMY
PHILOSOPHY
The
NOKC FC Academy is a
program organized by
the professional
staff coaches of
NOKC FC and is
designed for the
eight, nine, and ten
year olds.
The focus of
the program is
learning through the
game and minimizing
the intense pressure
to win.
Every staff
member of the
Academy holds these
two ideas true.
The staff has
been hand selected
for their expertise
and ability to work
with children in
these age groups and
each one strives to
make every training
session and game a
fun learning
experience for each
and every player.
The
key to the success
and learning of the
players in the NOKC
FC Academy is the
challenging training
environment provided
by the staff and the
program. The training sessions and the program are put together to
develop the complete
soccer player
(mental, physical,
technical, and
tactical.)
Many players
develop at different
rates at this age in
all of these various
components and such
the program is
designed to try and
challenge each
individual player at
their current level.
The premium
emphasis of the
Academy program is
towards the
development of the
player in 1v1 and
small group
situations.
Games
are a big part of
the Academy process
as well.
Games are
seen as the test for
all of the things
that the program and
staff has been
developing in the
training sessions.
The games are
used for the staff
to continually
evaluate where
players are and what
they need to be
working on.
Lastly the
game is a reward to
the player for all
of the hard work
they have put in.
It is also
the player’s
opportunity to play
the game in front of
their family and
friends.
The NOKC FC
staff is made up of
current and former
players and they
recognize that the
reason players are
here is to get to
play the GAME!
